University of Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who is projected to be taken in the first round in this year's NFL draft, is making the rounds and has pre-draft visits scheduled with the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson. McMillan had 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns with the Wildcats last season and should make plenty of noise at the next level thanks to his 6-foot-4, 219-pound frame as a downfield threat. The 22-year-old was a consensus All-American and first-team All-Big 12 selection in 2024. In 2023, he had a career-high 90 receptions for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns. McMillan holds Arizona's all-time record with 3,423 receiving yards. Depending on where he ends up in the draft, McMillan could be a starting option in all fantasy lineups in Year 1 in the NFL.

Despite the fact that he doesn't have elite speed, plenty of teams, including the Panthers are intrigued about his upside at the next level. Carolina holds the eighth overall pick in the first round of this year's draft, which could be right in the wheelhouse of where teams will begin considering McMillan. If he were to land with the Panthers, McMillan would almost certainly be starting in three-wide sets immediately alongside Xavier Legette and veteran Adam Thielen.

McMillan may not be the most explosive receiver we've ever seen, but he seems to be the total package and has a higher floor than most receivers who enter the league from college. He should be in the mix with Ashton Jeanty and a few others to be the top position player taken in dynasty drafts and this landing spot wouldn't change that.

The Athletic's Matt Schneidman is predicting that the Green Bay Packers break their 22-year streak and take Arizona receiver Tetairoa McMillan in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft for the first time since 2002. According to ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reid, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst was the only GM present at a private workout for McMillan last week. He's listed at No. 7 on Dane Brugler's to-100 list, so the Packers would have to trade up within the first round to snag him. If Green Bay doesn't go after McMillan, they could wait until later in the draft and take Texas' Matthew Golden, Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka or Missouri's Luther Burden III. Schneidman thinks the Packers go receiver regardless in Round 1, and it would make sense with Christian Watson (knee) expected to miss around half of the 2025 season.

Across three seasons with Arizona, he averaged 92.5 yards per game.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler reports that University of Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan will not do any workouts for scouts at the NFL Combine this weekend in Indianapolis. McMillan apparently is dealing with an undisclosed injury that he suffered recently, which would make sense why he'd be skipping on-field workouts at the Combine. "He got hurt in the spring and I don't know that he ever made it back to 100 percent. The 2023 tape gives you a better idea of who he is," according to an AFC scouting director. The 21-year-old is a possession receiver with the size (6-foot-5, 210 pounds) and ball skills to succeed as a downfield threat at the next level. While McMillan should easily be a first-round selection in this year's NFL draft, he could struggle with physical cornerbacks and might not be a huge asset in run-after-the-catch production.
