Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry said he is focusing on this upcoming season and will not say if the recent extension he signed will be his last contract.

Fantasy Spin: Henry continues to be one of the best running backs in the NFL and should remain with the Ravens for the next three seasons. He is a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues in 2025.

From TheHuddle

May 16 12:43am CT

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry ran for a league-high 909 yards after contact during the 2024 regular season, according to Pro Football Reference.

Fantasy Spin: That number was the highest in the league since Jonathan Taylor posted 941 during his incredible 2021 campaign. The thing that makes Henry's 2024 effort more special is that he did it at 30 years old. Henry will undoubtedly yield to Father Time at some point - especially considering he has handled over 2,500 carries during his professional career (regular season and playoffs) - but "The King" keeps himself in such fine physical condition that he should not be discounted in fantasy until we see signs of decline. As such, he should still be considered a strong RB1 option again in 2025.

Running back Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens reached an agreement on Wednesday on a two-year, $30 million contract extension that includes $25 million fully guaranteed over the next two seasons, according to Todd France of Athletes First. It is the largest deal in NFL history for a RB over 30 years old. The Ravens have rewarded the 31-year-old five-time Pro Bowler and former Offensive Player of the Year after he recorded 1,921 rushing yards and a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns on 325 carries in 17 regular-season games in 2024 in his first year in Baltimore. He added 19 catches for 193 yards and two more TDs. While some were expecting physical decline from King Henry last year, he was as dominant as ever in the Ravens' run-first offense, finishing as the RB1 in fantasy. Henry has limitations as a pass-catcher, but until he proves otherwise, he's a high-end RB1 target in fantasy.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with the Ravens Wednesday, May 14, worth $30 million. Henry is guaranteed to receive $25 million over the next two seasons.

Fantasy Spin: Henry continues to be one of the best running backs in the NFL and will be a must-start option in all fantasy leagues in 2025.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that he'd like the team to extend running back Derrick Henry, who is heading into the last year of his current deal in 2025. It comes after Henry signed a two-year, $16 million deal last offseason and said in February that he'd like to finish his career in Baltimore. It makes sense for both sides after King Henry didn't show any signs of slowing down in 2024 with 1,921 rushing yards and a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns on 325 carries while adding 19 receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns through the air in 17 regular-season starts. It was good enough to make him the RB3 in half-PPR scoring, behind only Jahmyr Gibbs and Saquon Barkley. Father Time is undefeated, but Henry is a different beast and pairs extremely well with quarterback Lamar Jackson's rushing ability. Henry is still much more attractive in standard-scoring fantasy leagues, but either way, he's a high-end RB1.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Baltimore Ravens and running back Derrick Henry are expected to start contract-extension talks early this offseason. Henry made $11 million in his first year with the Ravens in 2024 and is scheduled to make $7 million in his second year with the team in 2025. The 31-year-old King Henry proved this year that he still has plenty left in the tank and he recently told The Athletic that he would like to retire with the Ravens. Henry finished the 2024 campaign with 1,921 rushing yards -- the second-highest total of his career -- and a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns in 17 regular-season games to earn his fifth Pro Bowl selection. Despite the fact that Henry has a ton of tread on his tires and is an offense with quarterback Lamar Jackson, he will remain a high-end RB1 target in fantasy this fall.

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry is expected to talk with the Ravens about a contract extension this offseason, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Fantasy Spin: Henry continues to be one of the top running backs in the NFL and should see plenty of work again next season with the Ravens. He probably will be one of the first players selected in fantasy drafts and will be a must-start option in all leagues.

Jan 22 11:30am CT

Baltimore Ravens executive vice president and general manager Eric DeCosta said on Wednesday that the team will be looking at a possible contract extension for running back Derrick Henry this offseason. Despite being on the wrong side of 30 (31), King Henry proved that he still has plenty left in the tank, rushing for 1,921 yards and a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns on 325 rushing attempts in 17 regular-season starts in his first year in Baltimore. He also added 19 receptions for 193 yards and two more TDs while averaging a career-high 5.9 yards per carry. Henry finished the regular season as the RB3 in half-PPR scoring. He'll be heading into the last year of the two-year, $16 million deal he signed last offseason, but the Ravens want him around longer. Showing no signs of slowing down and being in one of the best offenses in football, Henry should be a high-end RB1 again this fall.

Jan 20 4:53pm CT

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry recorded 909 rushing yards after contact this season, which led the league in that category. He also led the lead with 42 broken tackles during the season.

Fantasy Spin: Henry was with a new team this season but continues to be one of the best running backs in the NFL. He should see a similar workload next season and will be a must-start option in all leagues.

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry capped off another fantastic year with a touchdown despite the team getting away from the run when they could have used it the most in the two-point loss to the Buffalo Bills. He finished the game with 16 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown to go along with two targets, but he didn't haul any of those in. The Ravens had short spurts of committing to the run, then they ultimately got away from it as the game went on. In two postseason games, Henry accumulated 270 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. Henry and Lamar Jackson will look for redemption next season while the Ravens look to re-tool on both sides of the ball.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 18 of his 25 passes for 254 yards, two touchdown and an interception in a 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. Jackson also ran six times for 39 yards and a lost fumble, and RB Derrick Henry had 16 carries for 84 yards and a score. TE Isaiah Likely had four catches for a team-high 73 yards and a score, and WR Rashod Bateman had four catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. TE Mark Andrews finished with five receptions for 61 yards and lost a fumble.

Jan 17 4:50pm CT

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry is fresh off of a ridiculous 186-yard game with two touchdowns in the Wild Card round, and he sets his sights on the Buffalo Bills. The last time these two teams faced off was in Week 4 when Henry registered 199 yards and a score on 24 carries to go along with three catches for 10 yards and another touchdown. He had a ridiculous 8.29 yards per carry average, and he'll likely be heavily involved once again in a freezing game in Buffalo. At kickoff, the temperature should be around 19 degrees Fahrenheit with a windchill that could reach the single digits. Everything about it signals a heavier ground game where Henry can dish out punishment.

Dynasty | Ravens running back Derrick Henry had 186 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a playoff win against Pittsburgh. Dynasty Analysis: Henry was his usual dominant self in this one, routinely churning out yard after yard against a helpless Steelers defense. After rushing for nearly 2,000 yards this season, Henry is showing no signs of slowing down. While the workload is something for dynasty managers to be concerned about, he's also giving Father Time a run for his money. Henry will be a RB1 next season and prime trade candidate for any contending team.

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry almost ran for two football fields against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the way to a 28-14 win. The superstar back finished with 186 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and didn't even participate in the passing game. Henry was able to break off big runs by simply outrunning the defense, and he flashed the devastating stiff arm when he slapped Minkah Fitzpatrick out of the picture. The Ravens' possible opponents in the next round are the Bills and Texans, who Henry has posted 199 and 147 yards against this season.

Henry gashed the Steelers' defense for 162 yards on 24 carries in Week 16 after turning in 65 yards on 13 carries in their first meeting. He's produced 11 games of five or more yards per carry with five of those games over 6.5. The Ravens will likely try to get the ground game going early on which would make Henry a valuable DFS play in the opening round.
